Espanola is tallying up the success of its latest Pumpkin and Fibre Arts Festival. The community created the event a few years ago as a means to attract people to town in the early fall. One event featured a Giant Pumpkin contest and at 100 pounds, the winning pumpkin belongs to Blake Dubois a young Espanola boy. This was the fourth year for the festival and this year’s theme focused on creating awareness about coral reefs.
