Espanola’s Deputy Mayor Angela Kelly and Councillor Aidan Kallioinen were on hand to help with the presentation of awards at the Espanola Elks last week.
The Espanola Elks Lodge #346 held its Long Service Awards and welcomed new members.
Elk Danny Tobodo received his 40-year pin while John Karvonen received his for 35 years.
Annie Boucher was also recognized for 20 years and Chuck Trahan for ten.
New members presented with their pins include Kelly Cunningham, Brenda and Dale Gauthier and Pat Poikkimaki. (Absent – Dwight Topolinski).
The Elks also held their installation ceremony for their officers and thank the wider community for their support.
