Ultra-marathoner runs for Heart & Stroke Foundation across Canada

A Canadian ultra-marathoner is running across Canada replicating Terry Fox’s run, raising funds and awareness of the fight against heart disease.

Ryan Keeping of Halifax, Nova Scotia, has set himself a goal of running across Canada in under 100 days.

That’s 7,386 kilometres running 75 kilometres a day for 99 days.

He says he is raising awareness through his own run for the Heart & Stroke Foundation to help other families like his, who are touched by heart disease.

Keeping started out from St. John’s in Newfoundland on April 1st and will be running along Highway 17 in our area over the next few days so if you see him, donate, and cheer him on.
