Espanola woman competing for national title 

An Espanola woman is competing at a national women’s empowerment competition this weekend.

Moose radio morning host and regional news anchor/reporter, Rosalind Russell is Ms. Elite LaCloche Foothills 2024 representing the Town of Espanola and the Townships of Nairn & Hyman, Baldwin, and Sables-Spanish Rivers.

Russell is advocating for the re-establishment of long-term care facilities for the mentally ill in Ontario as her focus during the three-day competition, which will be capped off with the gala presentation tomorrow evening at the College Boreal concert hall in Sudbury.

The competition includes public speaking, fundraising for the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer, interviews, and workshops.
