A 29-year-old is dead after a crash between a tractor trailer and a horse and buggy.
OPP Constable Phil Young says on Monday evening around 5 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 at Birchland Camp Road in the Township of Huron Shores.
He says the investigation revealed that a tractor trailer and horse and buggy were both travelling eastbound when the tractor trailer struck the buggy.
Young says the 29-year-old buggy operator sustained extensive injuries and was transported to hospital by Algoma Paramedic Services where he later succumbed to his injuries.
He adds the cause of the collision has still not been determined and officers are continuing their investigation.
