Mount Dufour Snowmobile Climb set to go … up!

Mount Dufour in Elliot Lake will see the return of a popular event this weekend, the Mount Dufour Hill Climb.

The city is supporting the event, which will bring in participants from across Ontario to climb Mount Dufour on snowmobiles in a race against the clock.

It has been nearly two decades since the event was held in Elliot lake.

With over 300 feet of vertical, it will test man and machine alike.

Participants register at nine, gates open to the public at ten am tomorrow morning.

KING OF THE HILL Prize: $500 for the Fastest time Overall – Sponsored by ALGOMA CHRYSLER
Rider Registration – $40 per Class / 2 Runs per Class Entered. + $20 entry fee to help cover Insurance costs.
Event Spectators – $20 each. Cash only at the gate. Advanced tickets available soon.

Event Parking at the mountain will be limited to competitors and early arriving spectators, a local shuttle service will be provided free of charge and check the local bus schedule for pickup points.
