Manitoulin OPP has arrested a Baldwin Township man following a response to a death threat.
Constable John Hill says last week on Wednesday evening police were called out to a residence in Baldwin Township.
He says police determined a person was assaulted a threatened with death.
Hill adds a firearm was also found and a cruiser was damaged when the man was taken into custody.
He says a 33-year-old man from Baldwin Township is facing several charges including assault with a weapon, uttering death threats and breach.
Hill adds the man was released on bail and is to appear in Espanola court on April 17th.
The charges are as follows:
- Assault with a weapon
- Utter threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Failure to comply with Release Order other than to attend court
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
- Possess a firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order – two counts
- Causing a Disturbance
- Mischief under $5,000
