East Algoma OPP is looking for a second person involved in the theft of a snowmobile from a Hillside Drive South residence in Elliot Lake, which occurred last Saturday night.
He says the complainant reported their snowmobile stolen from a backyard sometime overnight.
Young says police and witnesses continued to look around town and eventually located it parked at a residence on Hutchison Avenue, adding a man and woman on the machine were recognized by a witness.
He adds the two fled the scene before police arrived.
Police say the woman, a 41-year-old from Elliot Lake, was arrested the following day and charged with possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime.
She is to appear in Elliot Lake court on March 6th.
Young adds the search continues for the second individual and the investigation is ongoing.
