Community consultations on cannabis law continues Island First Nation

A First Nation on Manitoulin Island is set to host its second consultation on a cannabis law geared specifically to their community.

Fred Bellefuille, legal counsel for the Union of Ontario Indians will review law regarding cannabis sale, distribution and penalties on the Aundeck Omin Kaning First Nation.

The request to have legal counsel address the issues came from the previous round of consultation.

The consultation will take place next Monday from 6 pm to 9 pm at the First Nation’s band office.
