Premier Doug Ford is set to hold a news conference today and several reports say he’ll announce an end to the mandatory face mask requirement in most public settings.
The reports say that masks will not be required in places like restaurants, schools, and retail outlets as of March 21st.
Following the Premier’s announcement, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health will hold his final regular news conference on the pandemic.
Doctor Kieran Moore will detail the government’s plan to “live with and manage COVID-19” in the future.
There were 12-hundred new cases of the virus identified yesterday, but Moore has said the actual numbers are likely ten times as high.
