Maplegate’s International Women’s Day weekend event was a success.
The Elliot Lake-based Maplegate, which oversees shelters and related services for women and men, worked in concert with the Algoma Council on Domestic Violence to host a day-long gathering.
Workshops focusing on this year’s theme, Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow, included a unique fashion show, several crafters and activities geared to women.
