Sudbury police rescue kidnap victim

The Greater Sudbury Police has rescued a person who was being held against their will.

Constable Kaitlyn Dunn says police received information that a person was being held at a Bruce Avenue residence and that there were firearms inside the residence.

She says through negotiations, everyone inside the home was taken into police custody including the alleged kidnap victim.

Dunn adds drugs and firearms were also found.

She says three people face a variety of charges including forcible confinement adding the alleged victim’s identification is not being released to protect their identity.

All three have been denied bail and remain in police custody.
