The East Algoma OPP will have to find a new detachment commander. Inspector Brent Cecchini will soon be leaving to assume the same position with the Temiskmaing OPP. Cecchini took over as commander of the East Algoma detachment last year after a stay of several years as the head of the South Porcupine OPP. Cecchini is no stranger to the Temiskaming OPP. In 2008 he served as the outlet’s staff sergeant and operations manager. Cecchini takes over at Temiskaming as of June 29th.
