The pandemic has meant many changes including in how the judiciary administers its courts.
Christine Desjardins who oversees the Provincial Offences Administration office in Espanola and Elliot Lake, says the office has been handling most of their work virtually during the pandemic and she does not see that changing any time soon.
She told council there are three people now working in the office, two full-time, one part-time, but with the extra workload needs the part-timer moved to a full-time position.
Council agreed to make the part-time position full-time for six months and then reassess the situation.
