Camper arrested for mischief

A camper who had been warned several times to move his camper has now had it towed and is facing mischief charges.
East Algoma OPP Constable Bev Gauthier says the OPP received several complaints back in July about a camper blocking access to the boat launch at Lake No. 2 off of Highway 108 – the Vimy Ridge Parkway in North Shore Township.
She says police went to the site on July 23rd and arrested and charged the man from Windsor with a firearm offence and had his firearms seized.
She says he was also warned not to block the boat landing.
However, since then, the OPP received several more complaints, so last Friday officers went back to the scene, took down the campsite and towed his vehicle.
The 64-year-old was also charged with mischief and is to appear in Blind River court on September 3rd.
