Provincial parks reopening

Want to take a hike, canoe, enjoy the open spaces, then today’s reopening of provincial parks will be a
boon.
In a release, the Ontario Government states backcountry camping will be available at provincial
parks starting today.
The move means the re-opening of Fairbanks Provincial Park near Sudbury, Mississagi Rivers north of
Elliot Lake and Chutes in Massey.
The government adds Crown land is also re-opening for camping and day-use activities are being
expanded to include picnic and off-leash pet areas.
Fees for day-use and backcountry camping will be imposed starting today.
Other overnight camping and day-use activities are still closed until at least June 14th.
