Nursing Week activities cancelled at Espanola hospital

It is Nursing Week and for the Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre it will be a subdued affair. Hospital spokesperson Terri Noble says David Adamczak of Espanola passed away in a marine incident
on Saturday.

She says he was the Assistant Director of Care at the Espanola Nursing Home and was a well-respected, caring nurse and leader.

Noble says all events have been cancelled this week out of respect for Adamczak.

She adds the hospital will host a memorial for him, which is in the process of being organized by staff and residents.

Noble says on behalf of the staff and residents, she extends a heartfelt thank you to nurses everywhere for all their contributions both within and outside their hospital or long-term home settings, especially in these trying times.
