Noojmwin Teg Health Centre – new Executive Director

Danielle Wilson is the new incoming Executive Director for the Noojmowin Teg Health Centre.

In a media release, the agency states Wilson has worked within Indigenous circles throughout her career including as an Environmental Health Officer for the First Nation Inuit Health Branch, Aboriginal Health Lead with Interior Health and most recently as the Regional Director with South West Health Access Centre.

The transition is expected to take a few months.

The agency, Noojmowin Teg, is a primary care organization providing services to the seven First Nations in the Manitoulin area as well as those living off-reserve in the Manitoulin District and Espanola area.

The team is comprised of 60 staff who work in collaboration with area health care and other providers to support the care of individuals within a circle of care.
