Doctors Day today

Today is Doctors Day and Ontarians are asked to turn on their phone flashlights and hold them high at 9 this evening to support doctors province-wide. Doctors Day falls on May 1st every year, but because this year’s version falls in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ontario Medical Association has started the Shine A Light For All They Do initiative. Aside from just lighting up your phone and holding it high, Ontarians are being encouraged to participate on social media with hashtag Shine A Light For Them, or visit the Doctors Day website.  The Canadian Medical Association is also sharing the initiative with the rest of the country.
