SPORTS: Cambrian College honours varsity athletes

Cambrian College has paid tribute to its outstanding varsity athletes this past season with various athletic awards.

Cambrian’s Female Athlete of the Year is Dana Isaia captain of the women’s soccer team who is graduating from the Medical Radiation Technology program this year.

Male Athlete of the Year is Eric Leishman who placed third in cross country running at the 2019 provincial championships and is a leading distance runner in the region.

“Congratulations to all our winners and all of our athletes” adds Alison De Luisa.

“You have been wonderful ambassadors for Cambrian. To our graduating athletes, thank you for your wonderful contributions to Cambrian, and we wish you all the success in your future.”

MVP: Josh Kneblewski

Rookie of the Year: Dalton Kipp

Most Improved: Cody Therrien

 

Women’s Volleyball:

MVP: Isabelle Rivest

Rookie of the Year: Jordan Phillips

Most Improved: Maggie Little and Lyric Peltier

Shield Cares Award: Kendra Muffo
