The Moose 94.1FM CKNR – Algoma Manitoulin is hosting a radiothon today hoping to fill plenty of shelves at the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank.
Food bank volunteers will be out and about with pails on Ontario Avenue in front of the radio station gathering donations from the public from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Six local churches and volunteers oversee the food bank.
Over the year, the organization helped 2,263 families, an average of 293 families a month.
Supporters can call in their pledge or drop by to donate.
