Elliot Lake man facing credit card theft charge

Elliot Lake OPP Media Officer, Constable Phil Young, says on Monday a man was arrested in connection to a credit card theft from a bank machine.

Young says a complainant reported their credit card got stuck in the bank machine.

He says the card was stolen by the next person to use the machine and then fraudulently used at numerous retail locations.
Video surveillance from the stores and bank were viewed by police who recognized the person using the card.

A 52-year-old Elliot Lake man was charged with theft under $5,000 and is to appear in Espanola court January 9th.
