Members of North Shore Search & Rescue had a busy summer.
Adam Page says the highlight was a day of training at Chutes Provincial Park in early August.
Page says the premise was a missing female hiker and the unit members were provided with a brief description, the time she went missing and potential hiking routes.
Dealing with the scenario as a real emergency the command unit was mobilized and started the search.
Once found, they learned her son, who was wearing a project lifesaver bracelet, was also lost.
Page says it was an incredible day of working with many staff from Chutes Provincial Park.
