The Sudbury and District Health Unit has won a silver medal by using social media to promote public health. The health group took part in a national competition that encouraged health groups to use social media in creative and innovate ways. In Sudbury’s case, the health unit produced a video stressing the importance of parents ensuring their kids are immunized.  The video was loaded onto Twitter and has made its way to every continent in the world and has been seen by millions of people.
