Rainbow Concrete owner legal counsel say allegations have no merit

Rainbow Concrete legal counsel plans to vigorously fight allegations involving the death of an employee.

Fifty-six-year old, Boris Naneff, the owner of Rainbow Concrete in Sudbury, was charged Monday with criminal negligence causing death in connection to the February 15th, 2017 fatality at the company’s headquarters on Maley Drive.

The Ministry of Labour has also laid 12 charges against Rainbow Concrete, its owners and two supervisors.

P. Berk Keaney says he has been retained to defend the charges and considers the allegations to be without merit.
He adds Rainbow Concrete looks forward to defending the charges and obtaining vindication, but as the allegations are presently before the court, they will have no further comment.

Naneff’s next court date is set for Sept. 26.

Thirty-eight-year-old Rheal Dionne, an employee of Rainbow Concrete, was killed when a concrete slab fell on the dump truck he was operating, trapping him inside.
