Parry Sound 33 – Highway 69 remains open

Parry Sound fire 33 has moved closer to Highway 69, however the Ontario Provincial Police is on scene supporting the Ministry of Natural Resources by ensuring public safety and assisting with evacuations.

Highway 69 remains open at this time.

The OPP is monitoring the smoke levels on Highway 69 and is reminding the public to slow down and turn on head and tail lights when traveling through smoky areas to increase visibility.

An air quality alert also remains in place from the Killarney area to Espanola.
