Billboards being changed

The billboards at both ends of town in Espanola are undergoing a major facelift.   New advertising will promote the need to shop local. Cheryl Kennelly, the town’s EDO, says small towns face competition from big box stores and on online shopping. The billboard campaign reinforces the need to shop local so local businesses aren’t forced to close. Mayor Mike Lehoux says shopping local helps make Espanola a stronger community.
