There’s a cost to driving around with an expired license as an Elliot Lake woman has learned. OPP with the East Algoma detachment spotted the vehicle in Elliot Lake and noticed the validation permit had expired. When police stopped the vehicle, they learned the driver had a suspended license. As a result, a 35-year-old woman is charged with driving while suspended, having no insurance and driving without a valid plate permit. The stop also resulted in police having the vehicle towed away.
