West Nipissing man hit with costly fishing fines

A Northern Ontario man can’t fish for the next five years plus has to pay 41-hundred dollars in fines after several fishing violations.  Marcel Daigle of West Nipissing was caught with extra walleye from an ice fishing trip on Lake Nipissing last year.  He had nine when the limit is two.  He denied having extra fish until Conservation Officers searched his vehicle and found the seven walleye under a spare tire.  The MNR investigators also found several spoiled fish in the bush which Daigle had thrown out from his vehicle.
