Local fire departments are working to put out a fire on Quirke Lake. The Elliot Lake fire department got the call about the blaze on Tuesday from the MNR, who dispatched crews to the area. They had a water bomber, and helicopter at the blaze which is just under 3 three hectares. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and is under investigation.
