The Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit at HSN is getting a new piece of eye care equipment for premature babies. It’s called a RetCam, and will allow doctors to diagnose abnormal eye vessel growth in their smallest patients. The hospital is able to buy this equipment, which costs around $110,000 thanks to the Lions Club District A-5. Governor Gerry Bertrand says the club is grateful to provide the community with a piece of equipment that can help detect and prevent eye problems.
President of HSN, Dr. Denis Roy, says this will give their smallest patients access to crucial care.
