MP Carol Hughes says the federal budget appears to be silent on how the Trudeau Liberals will advance the Ring of Fire. The New Democrat for Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing says she hasn’t been able to find where the Liberals stand on the chromite development.
Hughes says as a result, there’s a lot the public has been left in the dark about. She is asking what that is going to mean for the construction of roads and transportation. She says there is a lot to be concerned about that is left out of the details.
Hughes says if the Liberals stuck language about the Ring of Fire in another part of the budget, she hasn’t found it.
