Little NHL tournament breaking records this year

The Little Native Hockey League is seeing record breaking numbers this year. The Little NHL tournament has 195 teams registered to play in Mississauga this week. The tournament has grown from 1971 where it began in Manitoulin with only 17 teams registered.

Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day says the tournament creates community and builds unity among Ontario First Nation communities. He says the large number of teams makes it that much more exciting for the players, parents, and families who have been planning for months to participate.
