Cancer fundraiser nears

There are a couple of fundraisers in Espanola to raise money for the Northern Cancer Foundation.  The agency is trying to buy a PET scanner that’s used in early detection of ovarian cancer.  On July 31st the Teal for Toes organization holds its bag day at Winkel’s Your Independent Grocer.  The group has set 10-thousand dollars as its overall goal this year.  Also at Rustie’s Café in the mall, original bookmarks are being sold for the same cause.
