A man from Oro Medonte Township faces charges after two people in a pedal boat were killed when their vessel was hit by a ski boat on June 30th. The fatal collision took place two weeks ago on Bartlett Lake in the Parry Sound region. The operator of the ski boat pulled a woman from the water and got her to shore but she died on route to hospital. The body of her husband was recovered from the water two days later. The ski boat operator is charged with two counts each of causing death by criminal negligence and dangerous operation of a vessel causing death.
