Whitefish River First Nation youths headed for Indigenous Games

 

Seven young people from the Whitefish River First Nation are getting ready to leave for the North American Indigenous Games.  Regina, Saskatchewan is hosting the week-long event which begins on Sunday.  Among the athletes is Wynona Visitor who plays under 16 girls basketball.  The First Nation is also sending two boys to compete at the under 19 boys basketball and they are Zachary Pregent and Issac Pakisigan.    Four girls will play soccer in the under 16 age group and they are Montana McGregor, Theron McGregor, Tristan McGregor and Alara Owl.
