Hughes weighs in on recent Human Rights Tribunal ruling on behalf of First Nations children

Algoma-Manitoulin Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes is weighing in on a recent ruling by the Human Rights Tribunal. The ruling shows that First Nation children aren’t getting equal government support. Hughes says those findings come after years of complaints from the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society. She says the Harper government spent over $5 million to have the human rights case dismissed, and attempted to hide documents related to the case. But she says now we have all of the facts, and the upcoming federal budget is an opportunity to address the inequality.
