A Manitoulin man has died in a fatal highway collision on Highway 129. Dead is 34-year-old Shawn Gibbons of Minedmoya. Police say the Gibbons vehicle went through a guardrail and landed upside in the Mississaugi River trapping the driver. The single vehicle collision took place early Thursday night about 50 kilometres north of Thessalon on Highway 17.
