A mural celebrating French heritage has been completed at a Blind River school.
Julie Azzi, the principal of Ecole Saint-Joseph says the last week of October, students and staff were kept busy creating the mural in collaboration with Franco-Ontarian artist Mique Michelle.
She says the project allowed students from kindergarten to grade eight to explore graffiti art techniques while celebrating their heritage.
She says at the centre of the piece is a green frog, easily recognizable as the school’s mascot.
Azzi adds they appreciate the help of Michelle who helped create such an original piece of art at the school.
