You may recall Kielyn Marrone from the Espanola area who competed on the History Channel’s reality show, Alone, surviving in the wilderness for 80 days back in 2020.
Sudbury Indie Cinema Executive Director Simone Widdifield says they are thrilled to have Marrone as their keynote speaker for their outdoor adventure film festival to be held in Sudbury.
She says they, along with their founding partner Laurentian’s Outdoor Adventure Leadership Programme, is hosting the edition of SOAR Film Fest running Thursday, November 13 to Sunday, November 16, at their venue in Sudbury.
She says Marrone, who operates Lure of the North, an outdoor adventure company, is perfect for opening the annual celebration of outdoor wilderness adventure films from around the globe for wilderness lovers, adventurers and those who love the outdoors.
Widdifield adds Marrone who was second runner-up in Alone, loves to take adventure lovers out on expeditions in all seasons, providing the public with a unique view of Northern Ontario.
