Espanola council has given approval to hire a company to digitize their housing systems as part of the Strategic Plan.
Treasurer Julie Bouthillette says the corporate services committee recommended to council the digitization project be awarded to Polar Imaging for nearly $37,000 funded by the Housing Accelerator Funds.
She says in May, the town obtained the monies with expenditures presented to council throughout the year.
Bouthillette adds council approved the digitization of the property and role files and received three quotes with Polar Imaging Digitization winning the tender.
She says the digitization process will take place over the next couple of months with implementation in time for the new year.
