Manitoulin-Sudbury District paramedics awarded Governor General’s Exemplary Service Medal

Five local members of the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board have been presented with the Governor General’s Exemplary Service Medal.
Local Paramedics Services Chief Robert Smith says Primary Care Paramedics Melanie Laramee and Eyk Scheitel as well as Superintendents Darren Simond, Zachary Tremblay, and Curtis Watson received their medals at the provincial fall symposium.
He says the medal is granted to staff who have a minimum of 20 years’ experience in the paramedic profession and who have shown themselves to be of the highest quality both within and outside of the workplace.
