Manitoulin OPP is currently investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Espanola.
Constable Berkley Parisien says last Friday (July 25) at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at Tony’s Confectionary store on Mead Boulevard in Espanola.
She says the suspect entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded the employee open the cash register, then fled on foot with cash and stolen items before police arrived.
She adds there were no injuries reported.
