A Go Fund Me has set up to help an Elliot Lake boy to get the surgery he needs in the United States.
Jessie Hennessey says her son, Elijah, was born with serious heart and lung complications, and since Ontario no longer covers out-of-country care for pre-existing conditions, they are left with two options – accept his fate or call out to the community at large to help him.
She says Boston Children’s Hospital has created a groundbreaking surgical plan — one that could give Elijah a chance adding without the surgery, Elijah will face a shortened life.
