The Gigabit Fibre Project is coming to the North Shore Corridor and Manitoulin Island with a launch in Espanola this Saturday.
Marketing Manager Jade Tate, says PomeGran is hosting a community launch and free barbecue in Espanola to share updates on the Northern Ontario Gigabit Fibre Project, an infrastructure build that will bring high-speed internet to more than 18,600 underserved households, including 2,580 Indigenous homes, in the region.
She says the project will improve access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
Tate adds company representatives will be in attendance to provide details on the project.
It gets underway at 12:30 pm at the Red McCarthy Pavilion and Ball Fields in Espanola.
