Travel alerts – washouts at several locations in our area

TRAVEL ALERT: Hwy. 6 is closed in both directions from Birch Lane to Hopkins Road in Espanola due to a washout on the roadway.
THE MTO IS TAKING CARE OF THIS ONE
Please be advised that Bass Lake Road is also closed at 2174 Bass Lake Road due to a culvert washout.
The road is impassable, and no detour is available.
Emergency services have been notified, and “Road Closed” signs and barricades have been erected at sites.
Public Works is working on the repair and is optimistic that we will get the road reopened today.
PUBLIC WORKS IS LOOKING INTO THIS ONE
There is also a washout on Penage Road, which is impassable at this time.
