Elliot Lake will be featured on a summer television show sharing local history.
TV Ontario filmed an episode on Elliot Lake last summer for Crossroads: Beyond Boom & Bust”.
Janice MarteIl, who headed up the McIntyre Powder Project, and some of the mine workers are part of the film.
Martell says she was interviewed for this episode, bringing focus to the region’s mining history and the ramifications of the industry, as well as how the city has rebranded itself as a retirement destination.
She says the Elliot Lake episode premieres on Friday, July 4.
Other featured municipalities this summer include Sturgeon Falls, Markdale, and Creemore.
