The Town of Blind River is marking Parks & Recreation Month this year by opening a new basketball court.
The municipality teamed up with Cameco to fulfill a request by local high school students following a presentation to council earlier this year.
As a result, The Bud MacIver ODR was painted, new nets installed, benches painted and placed, and as an added bonus, the rink was divided to also allow for ball hockey.
The new attraction has lights and will be open to the wider public until 10:30 pm in the evening.
