Espanola council held a special meeting last Friday to fill a vacancy.
Town CAO, Clerk Joseph Burke says council has appointed Lora Wahamaa to fill the vacancy left by former Councillor Sandra Hayden.
He says she currently sits as a community member appointee on the Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee and is also the Chair of the Espanola Public Library Board.
Burke adds she will be sworn in at the Regular Meeting of Council on May 13th at 7:00 pm.
