Driver and company charged in explosives incident

The driver of a tractor trailer hauling explosives and the company he works for, both face charges after a collision on Highway 144.  Back on September 23rd, the trailer carrying explosives and detonators broke away from the tractor and slid across the highway.  Nothing went off and no one got hurt.  The driver, who is from Wahnapitae, faces eight charges including driving a vehicle in an unsafe condition.  The Quebec transportation company is charged with two offenses including failing to comply with federal safety standards.
